Are you ready!?! This is the BIG ONE!!

Okay, I gave you all a heads up a few weeks ago that there was a BIG challenge with a BIG prize coming today...and here it is!!! This is going to be one of the very few challenges where I do require you to use a kit to create your work. And this is more of a THANK YOU challenge for all of my wonderful customers who have supported me, and my kit making, over the last few years!!
THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart, for all the sweet words, return purchases, notes from countries near and far, gifts, shout outs...it just means the world to me!! This one is for Tara in Canada, Jodi in PA, Teri in Washington (who has never missed a kit!!), Simone in France, Julie in AZ, Cynthia in Brazil, Marie in NY, Sian in the UK, Amber in IN, Regina in Sweden, Line in Denmark, Mia in the Philippines, Sasha in NM...and ALL of my beautiful friends!
First off this challenge is going to run from today through Oct. 9th, so you have a full 4 weeks to work on it. I will be announcing a RANDOM winner on October 12th. Each entry will have an equal chance of winning, as long as the requirements are met! :)
Now the requirements. Not that hard really. You just need to use 5 unique NoelMignon kit items, other than patterned paper. Paper does not count. So you can use letters, stickers, vintage items, ribbons, brads...etc. And you must have at least 5 items per entry. You can enter as many projects as you like! All work must be made for this challenge.
And please list your items, and the kits they are from, in your link, so I can verify that you have followed the rules. And please, please, please leave a link in the comments section on this blog so I can easily find you work. I do try and make rounds to the various MB's, but I do drop the ball sometimes, so if you link it up here I am sure to see it!
Here is what you are playing for!! Adobe Lightroom 2.0. With an MSRP of $299! This is both Windows and Mac compatible...and it's a MUST to highlight all your fabulous family photos! EEEEKKK!!!

If you do not have a NoelMignon kit, there are still several left in the store, and a few are on sale! *If you order one this week (not the pre-order), I will upgrade you to priority shipping so it gets to you ASAP!!
Also, I do have the pre-order up for "The 31st", which is the October kit, and which will be shipping out within the next few weeks. I am down to just 15 of those unspoken for, so if it looks like something you might want, don't hesitate to pick it up, as it will be gone quickly!
The DT will be bringing you weekly inspiration on this one, so today we will leave you with a few LO's from Michelle and Virginia.

Back to School Challenge

Awww...yes, school is back in session! Can you feel a collective sigh from all the stressed out moms around the world...LOL! I kid. But man I was so ready for my boys to get back to school. Not that I don't enjoy every moment I spend with them, of course I love them with all my heart. But with 3 boys under 8, it's just VERY loud, and over a three month period that can take it's toll on a mom's nerves :).
So let's roll with the season and get those back to school photos scrapped right off the bat, shall we!? We have some super examples from the DT. Speaking of which we have Danielle Flanders joining us as a GDTM for Sept.! YAY!! And Ms. Kim Moreno has agreed to become a permanent member of the DT...Whoop Whop! So that is exciting!
The school challenge is running from today through September 11th. Please make sure you include a link to your work so I can find you easily and add your stuff up to our slide show.
Have fun with this one...and get ready for the next challenge (on the 14th of Sept.)...you might want to order a Noel kit if you don't have one yet...it is going to have a MAJOR prize and it will be one of the only challenges that I will require you to use a kit.

Tara Van M lift!

Did you all know we have a Message Board? We do...and we have some really fun, and very talented members over there! One of whom is Tara Van Moorsel. She is not only a complete kick, but she is super inspiring when it comes to scrapping too! So for this challenge I really wanted to lift something of hers.
This is the LO we chose. You can go various ways with this, you can go the "sketch" route, which most of the DT took, or you can go the monochromatic route for your projects. Or maybe you are inspired by the wedding theme...whatever you want to "lift" from this LO, that is the challenge over the next few weeks.
This is running from today through 28th. Please be sure to link your work in the comments section. I apologize for slacking on making the rounds on the various MB's. Summer is finally winding down, (one more week until school starts!) so I should have time in the coming weeks, but over the summer I have gotten pretty bad about going to them to find the work.
Also, if you haven't, register at the Message Boards! We would love to get to know you!

Why I Scrapbook Challenge!

So let's document it. The why. Why did you do this. Why did you spend hours upon hours, and fill book upon book with memories? What was the motivation...the push?

Somewhere down the road of life someone will ask that question, and when they (child, grandchild, great-grandchild?) come across the page stating the reasons it will be quite the treasure won't it!? My grandmother scrap booked back in the 50's and 60's. Hers were mostly newspaper clippings of my dad and uncle in the local paper for school or sports achievements, or Boy Scout activities. Unfortunately I don't have those books, but I did get to look through them when I was little, and it was cool to feel the family "time travel" aspect of it. To see my grandfather, who died before I was born, standing with his sons. To see great grandparents or uncles and aunts I never met in family situations with family members who were still living. Somehow I felt the connection. So to me the "why" is just as, if not more, important as the "what" you are scrapping. So tell us about it!

We are going to run this from today through August 14th. Please be sure to link up your work so we can find it and add it to the slide show! Here are the DT's awesome examples!

2 Pager Challenge!

Great job on the Summer Traditions Challenge everyone! It's so fun to see all the happy faces shining in the sun!
The time has come to tackle one of the BIGGEST challenges a lot of us scrappers face...telling the story in a 2 page spread! I have NEVER tackled a 2 page LO before, so this is on my "to do" list this week or next for sure! ;-)
This challenge is running today through July 31st. Please be sure to upload your link in the comments section, so I can find your work! If you are utterly stumped (like me), take some time to browse through the various sketch sites around the web, there is a lot of inspiration to be found. Some of my favorites are 52 Sketches, Page maps, and Inspired Blueprints. There are some great 2 pagers to be found there!
Happy Scrapping! And here are some awesome 2 page examples from the Design Team:
