Ghost Story and other news!
Hey guys! So I still can't get over how fast the Blue Skies kit sold out! Literally just a few hours and it was gone. But I do have a couple of Ghost Story kits left! Reuse, Reduce, Recycle Challenge!
Morning guys! First up I just wanted to let you know that the new kits are up and they are flying! So if you are wanting one I would run to the store and grab them because they will be gone quick!
Ok, on to the next challenge! Tessa Ann Watte came up with this fantastic idea for a fun and thought provoking challenge. How much stuff do we just throw away? I know it's not fun to think about, but we toss out a lot that can be re-purposed. So this challenge is all about taking something you would normally throw away and incorporating it into your project! This is running from today through Oct. 3rd. And here are our examples and what we reused!

Noel - used a 14x14 piece of packing cardboard and some hot wheels packaging
Jana-reused Daisy D's packaging as an accent piece
Tessa Ann - used the backing from a package of Making Memories red felt alphas (as seen in title) for a layer in her design
Michelle - I used the packaging from the kit (corrugated cardboard) and some clear packaging from some embellishments for the stars. I just used a star punch on the packaging and wah-lah clear stars!
Greta- i used the packaging that the Elsie rub on's came on to make a mini to keep in my purse to jot down notes...
Michele - used the negative space of chipboard hearts as little windows for pictures, embellies, and journaling. So clever!
Virginia - made a mini frame out of Heidi Swapp embellishment packaging & the Homeroom kit. She added a magnet on the back to use as a frame to hang on her fridge! How cute!

The "School Days" challenge!
OK guys, so as hard as it may be to believe school is back in session. Wow, my summer flew by! Anyway, I was thinking my school photo stash is pretty huge and in need of scrapping. So let's do a school days challenge this time around! Get to scrapping those first day photos, graduation pics, or the dreaded 9th grade head shot when your skin was "oh so clear" and your hairstyle was "rad"!
This is running from today through the 19th. I will be picking a winner who will be getting a $10 GC to the shop....so enter as many as you want! Be sure to include your link in the comments section or just link directly to the slide to make it easier.
Oh....and for your enjoyment.... :) Virginia found this way fun website called Yearbook Yourself, where you can upload a photo of your current self and you can transport back in time and have the hairstyle and clothing of several decades, all the way back to the 1950's. So if you are low on photos, or just want a way cool LO of yourself with a kickin' wig, go "Yearbook Yourself". Michele Kovack was super brave and did the "70's babe" LO in the slide show, which is "far out"!

Pottery Barn Inspiration!
Don't you love browsing through catalogs? Ido. I daydream about how wonderful life would be if only I had "that couch" or how well behaved my children would be if only they had that "certain play table"...LOL! Michelle L. must love browsing too because she came up with a fantastic piece of inspiration for us from a recent Pottery Barn catalog. Take a look and these beautiful colors!

WOW!! This is the Becky Fleck Sketch Challenge!
I am SO HONORED that Becky Fleck agreed to sketch an exclusive map for us here at the NoelMignon challenge! How HUGE is that?! I'm such a "super fan"...LOL! Honestly, I have the book, stalk the blog and I am just thrilled! Thank you SO much Becky!
So this challenge will run from today until Aug. 22nd. And I will be picking a winner! The winner will get a $10 GC to the store! The rules are simple, just do a LO or project using the sketch as your inpiration. Then post your link, or add your image directly up to the slide show, so we can see your take on the sketch. I know I will be doing another before the end of next week. It's just to good to do only one. :)
